End the stigma of mental illness and treatment with education and outreach to Japanese communities.
Face-to-face and remote counseling for relationship issues and clinical mood disorders.
Education and outreach so people can identify those at risk and help them get help. Counseling to address underlying reasons for suicidal tendencies.
CJMH promotes professional development by creating training material and workshops for mental health providers and caregivers who will in turn better support their communities.
CJMH seeks to improve the quality, quantity and accessibility of mental health services available to the Japanese public by advocating Japanese government regulation, licensing and oversight of psychotherapists and psychologists and the recognition and compensation of psychotherapy services by Japanese insurance companies and policies.
As there is very little research and data about Japanese mental health conditions and best practices for the Japanese population living in or outside Japan, CJMH is reaching out to the Japanese community and healthcare professionals to gather and share data and knowledge about the prevalence of mental health conditions among the Japanese community.
